A team needs to have at least 6, but no more than 10 members, to be eligible. Right now the Alley Oops Mon team has 5. Eight is not too large a team, if we wait until the end of registration and neither team is eligible then the league will either combine teams, often putting 10 players on a team, or we will just be locked out and not get to bowl if they already have enough eligible teams for the season. I have had both of those happened in this league in the past.
